The Annoyances of Airline Travel
Whether you’re planning a vacation, a visit, or a business trip, you’ll have to do one of the worst things you’ll ever experience…you’ll have to travel by plane.
When planes were first engineered and put to use commercially, flying was the most exciting thing ever. People took to the skies never guessing that future of powered flight.
Since then, airplanes have become more advanced, but they have also grown more cramped, the services offered onboard have dwindled, and more and more fees and restrictions have been put into place.
On September 11th, 2001, the world of airplane travel literally came to a crashing halt. Since that horrible day, the United States and other well traveled countries have begun taking precautions that increase airline safety, but they also increase passenger and traveler annoyance and discomfort.
If you want to make it to your villas Bali without ending up in an airport holding cell, you should read further and prepare yourself.
Loss of Privacy
You may be looking forward to your vacation and your villas Bali, but before you can enjoy the privacy afforded by your private rental villa, you need to undergo some procedures you once considered seriously intrusive.
Where there used to just be metal detectors there are now, radiation scanners, hand held metal/radiation detectors, full body scanning machines, and even full body searches which requires the traveler to disrobe behind a thin screen.
While your luggage, pockets, and body are being searched, you can think longingly on your villas Bali and how all the stress will melt away with a full body massage.
Snarling Travel Delays
Because of the increased gate security, the lines get longer, the waits get longer, and flights get delayed. Not only are people and searches the cause for travel delays, but uninspected planes are pulled from the tarmac at the last moment for repair and upgrade leaving travelers in a lurch.
While you’re sitting in a stuffy airport waiting to hear something, anything on how much longer you’ll have to wait, you can think about your villas Bali and how you can take your time doing whatever you want and no one can rush you.
Unnecessary Fees
Sadly, the state of airline travel also has morphed into a more expensive endeavor. Now, in order to save money they have pulled many traditional airline services, such as: in-flight meals and free carry-on luggage.
Now they have tacked on additional fees in addition to the already high prices you pay for the ticket. With many airlines you have to pay a per bag fee (including carry on), a cancellation fee, a date/time transfer fee, a carried infant fee, and many times the ticket itself carries fees for printing, handling, credit card charges, phone fees, online convenience fees, and more. By the time you’re done paying the airline fees to travel to Bali, you’re fortunate to have enough money to pay for renting the villas Bali is so famous for.
With all the hassles, fees, delays, and embarrassing searches, you might want to just enjoy a stay-cation, but Bali is calling and no matter how annoying the travel experience may be, by the time you settle into your villas, Bali will have swept you off your feet and into bliss.
Some facts of airline travel
We enjoy the surroundings through the technological development and one of the great inventions is airline service. Usually people go for air travel in any of these following modes such as airplane, helicopter and anything that can sustain flight. Two types of flight are there and they are domestic and international flight. Domestic flight is traveling within the same country and international flight is traveling from one country to other country. Air travel has some classes same as traveling in train, but it differs in some aspects and domestic has two types of classes and international has four types of classes.
Economy class and first class are the two different types of domestic flight class. Economy class is also called as standard class and it is the lowest class in air travel, ship travel and train travel. The seat pitch of domestic economy class seats range from 29 to 36 inches and it has a fold-down tray table and has a packet if items attached in the next forwarded row and also it contains airsickness bag, airline magazine and safety and evacuation procedure card. The domestic first class is also called as cabin and in airlines it is divided into several parts and high the travel class more the space.
It is usually divided into rows and alleys and in most classes it is divided by curtains.
An international flight is divided into four classes such as economy, premium economy, business class and first class. Economy class in international flight is as same as the domestic one which we discussed above. Premium economy is nothing, but the up gradation of the normal economy class and it is of two types such as a simple and comprehensive upgrade. A simple upgrade has some advantages for its frequent flyers as more seat pitch with leg rest and in-flight entertainment. Comprehensive upgrade has separate seats and cabins with in-seat telephone, lounge service, priority boarding and more.
Business class is an upper class or executive class with second tier travel class and it has more features than economy class and domestic first-class. Nowadays the features of business class are more or less equal to the international class. The business class flights have long haul seats where the people can lie flat and previously this facility was available only in international first-class. Today many business class airlines provide this feature in an enhanced way with three types of long haul business class seats and they are cradle seats, angled lie flat seats, fully flat seats. The seating arrangement differs from each other in their features and facilities, and not all airlines offer this business class seats.
First-class travel as by its name it is a luxurious travel with more comfort, service and privacy. If you prefer to travel for less business class suits and if you want a trip that suits your budget, you can go for an airline service where they provide you the budget business class with all facilities and less fare. They provide discounted flights and tickets with affordable airfare.
Airline Travel on the Cheap
Today, more than ever (and especially considering the shaky nature of the global and U.S. economies) those traveling by air are on the active lookout for airline tickets that aren’t going to cost them the proverbial arm and a leg. Well, at least not an arm. Most people figure they can get by with only one leg, these days.
I’m just kidding about the arm-leg thing, maybe. But maybe not, especially if really cheap airline tickets could be had. In that case, I might even consider leasing out a couple of my sister’s kids to do a bit of car washing and house cleaning for the travel agency folks or airline ticket counter managers who could get them for me and my wife.
Actually, it really doesn’t have to be that hard, nor should most air travelers look at scoring cheap flights as something akin to finding the single black grain of sand on a mile-long stretch of sandy beach in Hawaii (though it’d be nice to fly there and spend a few decades doing so).
In fact, all that’s really required is a bit of vigilance and a willingness to buy a ticket at the last minute, in many cases. The vigilance part comes from watching the airline websites for price drops and rises, which will occur on any given flight on a constant basis throughout the ticket-selling life of that particular flight.
Now given that we’re all running around with phones, smart phones and other electronic devices sticking out of our ears or other parts of our body, it ought to be easy enough to keep abreast of these changes, wouldn’t you say? Sure you would.
In fact, price drops and rises are a constantly occurring event, as blocks of tickets on a flight are priced at varying levels according to a number of factors, some of which are fairly straightforward but a few of which are exceedingly obscure. All of these factors are rolled up into a program which most airlines call “yield management,” or “revenue management” (on a broader scale).
Regardless, if you can do a bit of study and then are willing to play a last-minute game (or a game in which you buy a ticket for a flight very, very far into the future, perhaps up to a year) then you really can find cheap airline tickets. Be prepared, though, to accept certain restrictions, which all airlines — including even most low-cost carriers (called “LCCs” in the business) — impose on most such airline tickets which are sold at what even discount-oriented travelers might consider fire sale prices.
As an example, a Detroit (DTW) to Orlando (MCO) flight might list for nearly 400 U.S.
dollars, round trip, in the days leading up to the scheduled departure. However, in the last couple of hours before the flight is supposed to leave, at a time when the airline begins to look at putting somebody into an empty seat, regardless of what it might make on the ticket, there have been known price drops to around 120 or 130 U.S. dollars, round trip.
All legacy airlines operate on this sort of yield management theory, which says that it’s always better to park a behind in an empty seat and make any amount of money rather than none at all, if the plane leaves the gate with nobody sitting in that seat, other than some “non rev” (airline employee, like I used to be) who’s hitching a ride somewhere.
This is so even if the costs involved in fuel and other ticket price inputs are greater than what’s earned from selling the ticket at that price. Money is money, and better to have a little, right? So be brave, be smart and be ready to travel at a moment’s notice! Cheap airline tickets are out there, if you know how to get at them.

Basic Airline Travel Safety Tips
From terrorist attacks to plane crashes and other accidents, everyone wants to know how to make their airline travel time safer. If you follow the below mentioned airline safety tips, they might just save your life:
Choose a Non-Stop Flight
The majority of airplane related accidents take place when the plane is taking off, landing or descending. So do your best to choose a flight that is non-stop to your destination. By flying continuously, your chances of an incident will plummet.
Select Larger Aircraft
Quite simply, larger aircraft are safer than smaller aircraft. Larger aircraft have more stringent safety guidelines and maintenance schedules, so this lessens the chance of experiencing problems.
Pay Attention
Do your best to pay attention to the preflight briefing made by the flight attendants. The presentation may be similar to other presentations on other flights you may have been on, but be careful to pay attention to where the emergency exits are, since every plane has its own design and therefore has a different emergency exit.
So it is crucial for you to pay attention to these briefings and not treat them as an inconvenience.
Avoid Loading Up the Overhead Storage
When a plane experiences turbulence, the overhead storage bins may not be strong enough to hold all the heavy items that passengers tend to stuff in them. These heavy items may come spilling out on tops of heads and blocking the aisles. Try not to overstuff the overhead bins with heavy items.
Fasten Your Seatbelts
Although it is obvious, some people don’t consider seatbelts to be important and may take them off during crucial times like takeoff or descent. Always keep your seatbelts fastened whenever you are in your seat.
Don’t Bring Any Dangerous Objects
Be sure to take the time to read about whatever objects are restricted from being taken on planes. Any items that are on the list of restricted items should not be taken with you, instead make sure to mail them.
Avoid Drinking
Alcohol has a stronger effect on people while in the air than when they are at sea level. It is important to avoid drinking if possible. People who drink can cause disturbances to the flight and create chaos in the cabin, if out of control.
Stay Alert and Don’t Panic
If a situation arises, like turbulence or a possible emergency landing, or worse, take care to follow the instructions of your flight attendants and you will have the best possibility of survival in a tough situation.
