Rising gas prices, air fares, hotel rates… bills, bills, bills… But none of these are keeping travelers off the roads to get their much deserved vacation. 1. Awareness of Peak Travel Day Fees – Peak travel day fees are applied when there is a higher demand. These hidden travel fees increase the price of your flight, especially during the months of June, July, and August. During these months, every day is almost considered as a “peak” day. And the only way to avoid it? – postpone your vacation until the end of the summer, which is quite a hassle since you don’t want to ruin your kids’ summer vacation.

2. Bargains — There are lots of cheap travel packages going to the Caribbean, Cancun and Las Vegas during the summer months.

3. Travel Tips from CBP – They say that people who read fast get ahead. This might be true, except for some information that you really need to remember and digest like the tips from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Here are some CBP tips that you should remember before you go:

a. Have all the required travel documents for the countries you’re visiting. To add, identification for re-entry to the U.S. Passports are also required for re-entry.

b. Declare everything you are bringing in from abroad. This includes items that are bought in a duty free shop as these items are also subject to U.S. duty fees and other restrictions.

c. Be cautious when buying something from a street vendor. Some merchandise can be classified as counterfeit or unsafe and you may have to surrender it to the CBP when you get home.

d. Know that things bought abroad for personal use or as gifts are eligible for duty exemptions. But if you’re going to resell them, they are not eligible.

e. Have a quick look at the list of prohibited merchandise (such as ivory, tortoise shell, absinthe, and counterfeit items) and restricted merchandise.

f. Be aware that many foreign-made meds are not FDA-approved. You cannot bring these meds into the U.S. Also remember that, when traveling abroad, bring only the amount of medication that you’re going to use during your trip.

g. Cuban-made products are a big no-no.

h. Don’t bring any food into the U.S. without checking to see if it’s permitted. To add, exotic pets like live birds, whether it’s for your personal use or for commercial use, may be restricted and/or quarantined.

i. You also have to remember that CBP officers can inspect you and your belongings without a warrant. This may include your luggage, vehicle, and personal searches. This is meant to enforce U.S. laws as well as protect legitimate travelers.

4. Maintain Your Tires – Most people would opt to go on a road trip instead of flying, so a good advice to take is to check if your tires are properly inflated. Estimates show that U.S. motorists could save up to 700 million gallons of gas each year just by maintaining their tires properly. To add, tuning-up and putting the correct motor oil in your car can improve fuel efficiency by up to 4 percent.

5. Find a Cheap Vacation Rental — Looking for a cheap vacation rental near your intended destination can save you money, especially if you’re going out with a large group. Instead of booking a hotel during peak season, try to look for a vacation rental that has all the amenities that you need.

A little research on sabbatical to South Africa will throw up a lot of activities you can participate in. South Africa Weather

Increasingly hot and crowded South Africa during the UK winter months from November to March. This is also the busiest period for tourists and locals. For a cooler temperature and less busy period, the summer months in the UK in July and August are a good time to go. When I visited South Africa in July and August the weather was sunny and warm, mostly but not too hot, so the best time for me to travel. It was perfect for all activities. It was nice and quiet at this time also, and this is the cheapest time to visit South Africa. I made sure I read lots of travel tips before travel to South Africa to ensure that rode the best time for me, it was July and August, as I prefer the milder temperatures.

Getting to South Africa

The main airports are Johannesburg International Airport and Cape Town International. Flights normally takes 12 hours. I flew from Manchester to Amsterdam to Johannesburg on the road, and on the way back from Cape Town (extra £ 50 and additional 2 hours) Johannesburg to Amsterdam to Manchester. Along the way, this happened about 12 hours and all day the first left in the morning and arrived at night, but on the way back I spent about 36 hours to get home as I had long delays between different connections . It seemed very busy Johannesburg and had actually managed to gather a large amount of luggage more than you started with, but there is a place to store your luggage in the basement so you can wait for your flight without having to carry all your luggage with you.

Getting around South Africa

As a general guide, public transport in South Africa is not very reliable, but the roads are good, so it is easy to rent a car or the Baz Bus is a hop-on hop-off bus service affordable for backpackers, which is a great way to meet like minded people. You can also book an organized tour, which also can be very economical. I transport all three during my travels. I started with an organized tour was a great way for me to ease in traveling alone to meet new people very well, then use the Baz Bus and met with hundreds of people all traveling the same route that I, then I hired a car with two people who had befriended on the trip. This was a great way to see South Africa by dividing the cost and have more freedom to go wherever we wanted in South Africa. We enjoy the surroundings through the technological development and one of the great inventions is airline service.  Usually people go for air travel in any of these following modes such as airplane, helicopter and anything that can sustain flight. Two types of flight are there and they are domestic and international flight.  Domestic flight is traveling within the same country and international flight is traveling from one country to other country.  Air travel has some classes same as traveling in train, but it differs in some aspects and domestic has two types of classes and international has four types of classes.

Economy class and first class are the two different types of domestic flight class. Economy class is also called as standard class and it is the lowest class in air travel, ship travel and train travel. The seat pitch of domestic economy class seats range from 29 to 36 inches and it has a fold-down tray table and has a packet if items attached in the next forwarded row and also it contains airsickness bag, airline magazine and safety and evacuation procedure card.  The domestic first class is also called as cabin and in airlines it is divided into several parts and high the travel class more the space.

It is usually divided into rows and alleys and in most classes it is divided by curtains.

An international flight is divided into four classes such as economy, premium economy, business class and first class.  Economy class in international flight is as same as the domestic one which we discussed above.  Premium economy is nothing, but the up gradation of the normal economy class and it is of two types such as a simple and comprehensive upgrade. A simple upgrade has some advantages for its frequent flyers as more seat pitch with leg rest and in-flight entertainment. Comprehensive upgrade has separate seats and cabins with in-seat telephone, lounge service, priority boarding and more.

Business class is an upper class or executive class with second tier travel class and it has more features than economy class and domestic first-class. Nowadays the features of business class are more or less equal to the international class. The business class flights have long haul seats where the people can lie flat and previously this facility was available only in international first-class.  Today many business class airlines provide this feature in an enhanced way with three types of long haul business class seats and they are cradle seats, angled lie flat seats, fully flat seats. The seating arrangement differs from each other in their features and facilities, and not all airlines offer this business class seats.

First-class travel as by its name it is a luxurious travel with more comfort, service and privacy.  If you prefer to travel for less business class suits and if you want a trip that suits your budget, you can go for an airline service where they provide you the budget business class with all facilities and less fare. They provide discounted flights and tickets with affordable airfare.
